According to the technical point,the photo has been Taken by macro lens and speed of shutter has been high.Macro lens shows little things very big.Diaphragm has been open therefore basic subject(myriapod)is clear and sharp,background is blur.Depth of field is minimum.

Hello dear Nicki ...How interesting is this little guy -lol...I've been trying to figure out which way is the front or back and as You have titled it so well- 'Where are You Going ' lol!!! up or down (?))
I have decided my guess is the bottom portion of this extremely colored insect is the leader and heading south but then again I could change my mind again -haha!!! Great details and clarity ..the entire composition is an Award Winner for me !!! I love this my dear :))

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW..Nicki, Caterpillars mostly eat the leaves of flowering plants and trees, using their powerful jaws (mandibles). Caterpillars are very limited in their diet; many species will only eat the leaves of a single type of plant. They usually eat only the plant that their mother carefully chose to lay their egg on.
