I´m very sorry to hear that, Donald. Life doesn´t always treat us the way we expected to. My father died two years ago much too early in life from cancer and I have two non-verbal braindamaged sisters at the stage of one year old children, so I know about heartache.
The UF-photographer Michele Carlsen from Oregon( a great woman) has a mother with lupus. Maybe you could exchange some experiences and advice?

Oh, I don't know when my portfolio will grow.
I hardly have the time. My wife has lupus and is almost an invalid some of the time. That plus the work with our church keeps me kinda tied up.
I have not been out taking pictures in a long time.

Yes, and for us Europeans it´s only natural:-) It´s nice having remains from one´s history because then you can connect with the past in a more vivid way, learn more and also try to become more aware of the present that is built on the past so to speak.
