Very cool perspective of view, John, I know its a reality:) good choice shooting between those hills make the view much solid, although if you had choose between f16 will look more a far specially the cars plus the left side showing part of your standing bridge with out will have a more suspended feeling to it:):) ohh to critical :):):)
Cheers,
Harry

This is so interesting that the sandstorm would colour everything in this way. This gives the feeling of the cars driving in and out of the unknown distance. There is something enchanting about it.

yeap, even I have the equipment to do something LIKE that (cokin filters of orange color and fog) my country is pretty closed to Sahara desert and at least two or three times per year we have a weather LIKE that...not so strongly...that was a very special day for me...

thanks a lot Robert for your kind comment...yeap...however the distance of North Africa to my place (Crete island, sound Greece, middle of Mediteranian sea) isn't soooo long...only 200 miles away... many times we...taste sand...but never soooo strongly than that day!

Brilliant shot John! Strange and absolutely lovely colour of the sandstorm and the IT IS NATURAL!!! You positioned yourself very well. Little hint of the bridge gives a sense of depth. The turning road, the hazy background all add to the charm of this beautiful photograph. But tell me, is it safe to take out your equipment in such sandstorm, or were you using some sort of protection. Sand and dust, I have heard, are the worst enemies of digicam.

Great weather capture, John. You know, if I remember correctly, I think I saw a satellite photo a while back showing the sand blowing out of the Sahara Desert during a sand storm. It was awesome. I think I saw you out taking pictures in that photo, too. LOL

Best wishes to you as always,
Dave

thanks a lot AJ for your kind comment... hahaha....yea, here it's real shot even I could easily produse that using two filters on my lens as I have the fog filter and orange filter too (cokin) however that day was amazing my friend as really my eyes blink for some days after that, all colors changed strongly and after that I was dizzy, never cames that before (so strongly...) even we have time to time soft yellow tones by the winds, that natural weather was over Greece, north Italy and many countries over Valcanian area...even parts of Austria!!! it was really unique!
Be well!

There are purists who like to do everything in-camera, using filters when necessary. And there are super-purists who won't even use filters. Want an orange tone? Wait for a convenient sandstorm to come along! Nice one, John!

Love the yellow tones here dear John .. The composition and angle are really nice too .. Good work my friend .. the only thing I could critique about this shot is the bottom-left corner of the shot.. I find it kind of distracting and cropping it off would improve the shot IMHO .. anyway .. great shot.. very well done.. My very best..aLi
