Excellent tonality here, Aniko! I wouldn't want this photo any other way! Dramatic, invasive, it keeps calling me back to look at it again and again!Rich in details! I read the story, of course, in one of your answers (to Leonie, I believe) and it touched my soul! YT

Hehehehe... But Onie... doh.... I was not born way back then! ~LOL~ :)
This shot is from the late 90's. :) Yes, I know you know that... well... roughly... I used to do a lot more of my own dark room printing back then... This is a scan of a "not too bad" print which translated a tad difficulty with my scanner (ill scaner) and limited PS7 with many glitches.... ho hum... we worked... I will not have a machine that refuses to perform! LOL! (When, oh when will my other computer be "cured".... ???)
And odd... you speak of his eyes. This man has literally no vision in one eye, and only 9% vision in the other... He is "certified blind". Interestingly enough, he has ancient cameras and somehow "feels out" photos... He is a great artist in many ways. He is also a musician and OMG... the works he makes in clay/pottery.... astounding!!!
Also, this is not his home nor his dog. I was out with him to visit the owner of this place (and dog, both of whom I had not yet met...) to ask permission to shoot other stuff on his property. (He was not far away and complied, for which I am humbly grateful...)
I can babble on forever, can't I??? The thing is, this man who seems as though it is his home sweet home (pooch included) knows the actual owner well... I had not met him to that day... So now the REAL story emerges... And it brings a warm happy tear to my eye that through the long-standing friendship of this man and the "real" owner, no one can tell the difference. Do I make sense here? I know what I mean! (Without being mean...)
Yes... shut up Ani... lol... like Alice's telescope...
Thank you... Hugs~ Ani :) In Wonderland :)

Ani... I have old family postcards around 1900-1920 with just this look... The scene is soooo back then... :)))
Wonderful B&W tones with strong contrast giving him dark and broody eyes as he plays with his dog... A fox Terrier by the looks, they again were also popular in that era... :)))
Love this dear Ani... Brilliant work...:)))
Excellent...:)))

My Dear Friend LUIS!
I am NOT working too much... Besides...I LOVE work... :) This image is a scanned B&W print... so simple to upload... no real work involved. It is an older image, but has always been a favourite. I still prefer to use old cameras (mostly minoltas) of which I have quite a few... and LOVE HP5 and grainy films, either B&W or colour. I do not even own a digital camera (other than a little snap shot Mavica which I rarely use...) Any images here in UF that are shot on digital cameras are borrowed cameras from my friend Colin Porter (also a UF member...) My PS is Adobe 7 and currently that is all I have on this computer as my "better" computer is still being "fixed". I am limited, but enjoy the challenge of anything, including limitations :) :) :)
I am happy you came by and thank you for your kind words. You are always welcome to visit when you have a chance to!
Loving Hugs and Kisses to you Dear LUIS! Aniko :)

Dear Friend...you are working too much...and for me is very hard comment honesty every work... This one first...is really a wonder dramatic portrait... the dog playin is only a detail.- And the most important question you had use ILFORD HP5 plus a superb B&W film...Minolta with Rokkor lens...I'm an old photographer...this is a vintage piece, like te other portrait desaturated and softness I go there now.- Warmest kisses and hugs for you Aniko Heart.- LUIS:)
