True, the expression is saying "hurry up and snap this picture, then pet me some more". What a lap dog! I'm still experimenting with appiture values and shutter speeds. I do tend to take them to the limit. I was pleased at first with the soft focus, but I would really prefer a sharper image. I'm going to try some more combinations. Thanks for taking the time to help me. ---Duane---

What saves this image is the priceless expression, and of course your close cropping. Your subject is clearly a winner, but I bet you are not completely happy with the focus. I'm not sure why focus is soft, as your shutter speed was adequate. I'm also unclear why you chose f19, approaching a diffraction limit as well. Were you inside the minimum focus distance? I see you have studio lights. Did you use flash to light the subject as well as the background?

Too much light on a white background. Here's what I done to save it. It's the "Poster Edges" filter in PS. It's very forgiving. Thanks for being honest. I appreciate the help. ---Duane---

Why does no one comment on the quality? Sure, its a seriously cute puppy - but its a poor image Duane. Too soft, washed out...what did you do?

Hi Duane, Daisy May is a darling. We have Dachsies, mini smooths, we had Sabastion, a red mini long, for 12 years. Its amazing the difference in the natures of the three different types of Dachsies. 7+++++ for Daisy May!! Sylvia

She is very cute. Good job on the eyes, they are the hardest to get properly. May you have many long years with her.
