capturing a moment of a lady into a frame is what a photographer is able to do.
Posing for a moment and a being is what model and subject is able to do.
When it comes along together, the conclusion is what you have revealed to our eyes.
it's a very powerful example of an innocence moment. I really congratulate on your choice, and for giving an eternal life to this model in the heart of history.
Good job! All the bests in 2007+
Glad to meet your portfolio by chance. Stay Green, Ardalan.

Yep.... old minoltas are fabulous and I still have many from SRT 101s through to an X300. I LOVE using fim. I rarely borrow a digital camera to "play" with. I WORK with old film cameras (I also have a couple of Nikons and a medium format Mamiya).
And indeed, she is a beautiful young woman :)
Warmest regards, Aniko :)

:) I love this... taken with real film and a Minolta srt102. I have owned two of those fine cameras and regret the day I sold them. This is an extraordinary beautiful young woman.

I really like this fantastic image! The model is amazing! Her pose full of shyness, her pale complexion and black hair, her dark-green dress ans the background all together make her look like Snow-white in a fairy forest.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this entire shoot and would like to post a few more images of this lovely lady. Sadly, I "lost" a whole roll of B&W at another location (same day), as my film had not wound on properly!!! ARRRGGHH! Don't you just hate that??? ~LOL~
See you soon! Take care~ Aniko :)

Thanks Paul and yep... I just can't afford them! LOL! My reflector in this case was a two dollar piece of shiny cardboard used for making children's party hats and such like!!! ROFLOL! I work with minimal and non expensive "stuff". I am so used it it by now, that usually the shot is OK and not badly focused. Sometimes I am fortunate enough to have the arms of a human assistant! :)
Thanks Paul!
All the best to you, Ani :)

Hi Paul and thank you very much.
The reflector was a trick and a half... lol... propped against the legs of my tripod, with one of my feet holding it in place as best as possible! :)
Your comments are always highly valued. Thanks again.

Dearest Srna!
Thank you. As I said the original image is sharp... the scanner does not slides... lol... In retrospect, I don't mind this image being a little on the soft side (I mean it's not that soft and not blurry... lol...), as it adds a slight air of mystery to the "story".
Thank you very much for your gracious comments my friend! Hugs~ Aniko :)

These woods are "enchanted"... a wonderful spot that has that brave little creek and whispers on the breezes about ancient times... :)

Ah Dear Renato!!!
I am glad you see nothing of the modern in this capture. It is not supposed to look modern at all. I am overly romantic and love the "timeless" images... Unless commissioned to work otherwise with models, I am pretty sure that the majority of my portraits would fall into another century! LOL!
Thank you for your kind comments.
Warm Wishes to you my friend! Aniko :)

Hi Peter and warm thanks for your excellent comments.
Somehow most of my work (for my own sake)needs to tell something of a story. How other people interpret and create stories from these images is fine with me! :)
I remain rather dedicated to film and use ancient cameras. I only "play" with the expensive digitial contraptions I ocassionaly borrow from a friend for fun! LOL! (Though I have been pleased with a few digital images... I am still not rushing off to buy a digitial camera... Give me film any day and a camera that requires one tiny battery that lasts for a year, and if goes flat, camera still functions, short of a light meter!!!... ROFLOL!!!))
All the best to you Peter and thanks again, Aniko :)

Hello Aniko!
I am surfing without my glasses and caffeine (no coffee neither green tea tonight), and I cannot see nothing "modern" on this capture.
And it let me to a scenery of a film about the old centuries. A beautiful model, a timeless beauty!
Best wishes!

hi thanks for your comment on my photo.
nice to see some one still using and getting great results with film.
like your photos i try to get them to tell a story.
as well as the good cropping, you show a nice range of textures between the woman and the trees.
which shows the woman to her best advantage, although you can see she is nervous by her spread fingers.
keep up the good work
cheers peter

Dear Len!
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I am a romantic and love Pre-Raphaelite art. Perhaps I am influenced by it, along with many other styles. :)
I too wish the image were sharper here. It is sharp on the original. My scanner really hates scanning slides so I always have to mess around with them in PS. I was a bit concerned that I might actually have oversharpened the image! I was slightly disappointed that quite the opposite happened.
Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my work. Much appreciated!
Wishing you all the best, Aniko :)

I love the portrait. It has something of the Pre-Raphaelite about it, but I would have preferred a sharper image. I agree with your comment about the model: she's lovely.
