Thanks again, Scott. I was on the car ferry and ran back down to get a different lens when I saw this coming. I almost missed it.
I will admit to some PS shenanigans to enhance the rather flat image that often comes out of the digital camera -- added contrast, selective color, saturation. I had to bring it closer to what I actually saw. I used to shoot nothing but Kodachrome and was rarely disappointed in the color.

Hi, Rickard. Thanks for visiting my Ferry photo. I am glad you like my work.
I am addicted to PS and discover new things all the time. I am especially sensitive to skies, as you will remember.
This photo needed several tours through the selective color adjustment. It was a lucky shot, but started out rather flat. I brought it to how my mind remembered it on a chilly day traveling from Martha's Vineyard to Woods Hole.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Srna. I was so excited to get this photo as both boats were moving in opposite directions. I had to enhance the colors in PhotoShop to reflect my true emotions at the time.

I should also tell you that I almost missed this photo. I was on the deck of the ferry going in the opposite direction when the sun broke through, but I had a telephoto lens. I had to run down 2 flights to the car (on the car ferry) and come back with the 35-70 to get this shot - it made my day.
