About Came out of the blue. Carroll Shelby's muscle car. Made my day.

And a very courteous driver. No speeding or changing lanes, just a cruise southbound on I-95.

Was not fast enough getting the camera out of the bag to get a front angle. But, leaned out the passenger window to get as close as possible on the fly adding Photoshop to bring it even closer with a distortion effect.

Very courteous tri

I would add you to my friends list but I am at my limit right now. Not currently a donor. I go back and forth. Thanks, anyway.

That is unfortunate, Martin, but welcome to the world of the "self" employed. Regardless of your current status as a photographer the effort you put into marketing -- with persistence -- is the key here. My first opportunity at retail ads came from a department store that did mostly illustration. They gave me a test and my first ad was for Christmas. I shaped 75 perfume bottles into a Christmas tree. The light hit in such a way that it sparkled like a Christmas tree and they were sold. A lot of work followed over the next few years, converting their advertising into mostly photography. Good luck comes with TPO -- Talent, Persistence and Opportunity.

Good Luck! Lee

Lee,

Well after 4 years I thought you forgot about me... LOL

I lost my job on Friday 5/15/09, so I'm really thinking about photography full time now!

I'm good, but not great, although I have seen worse photogs making a living full time?

My Best,

Marty

What a great comment, Martin. How could I have missed it. Thanks. PS definitely helped me out here. with a little cloning in the corners.

Best back at you, Lee

I am glad you like it, Dan. I had never been that close to a Shelby Cobra before. The driver was not racing along, but just enjoying the drive, so I was able to catch this at my own speed. A great gift.

Nice shot... says everything about the car... and the obsession of always wanting one but yet never seeming to catch it... I must drool for a moment... for I have this on my favourite car list as well...Dan :)

Thanks, Scott. You really need a particular kind of background for this PS effect to work. I had to repair the sky in the corners and the road a bit, but the hill fell right into place.

I see you like cars, too.

Regards to you in New Zealand.

Ahh, I like the distortion, even though im not one to manipulate the image too much, not like that anyway, but this has worked really well, at first I thought it was a wide angle lens.

Great work

Thanks, Joao. So glad you like it. I have a bit of a thing for cars and this one really caught my eye. I was glad he did not speed up and get away.

Thanks, Peter. I had to have some help identifying it, but I knew it was special the minute I saw it.

Luckily he was not racing by, but taking a leisurely pace, so I was able to lean out the window and get what I wanted.

One of the all time great cars, love the fish bowl effect and the focus giving great finish on the car.

I am happy the distortion works for you, Alonso. This car deserved the full treatment. I have never been this close to a Shelby before.

Thanks, Manu. I am glad you like it and I am so happy I had the camera ready. You rarely get an opportunity like this on the highway. And luck was with me that there was a continuous background without any obstructions to detract.

Glad you like the effect Zeev. I had almost as much fun with the PS as I had leaning out the car window.

Thanks, Kyle. That is what I thought, too. I have shot a lot of cars on the road for rallys and the photos can all start looking alike to me.

Luckily this background lent itself to being playful and got me that closer perspective.

Have you driven this car? It just knocked me out when I saw it.

Thats very cool. My favorite car, and i like the distortion effect. the image might be boring without it
