I very much like this composition, Txules. The dog is adorable. I do find the brightest tones a tad too bright for my taste (see example below), but other than that, this is a very commendable photo.

I love the long shadows and would have included the head of the dog and cloned out the stick/strap going from the man out of the top of the image since my eye is following it out. The dog is so cute and adds appeal, softening the shadows. This works well in B&W and I like the excellent detail that maximizes the textures. You handled the difficult exposure extremely well! A good shot that would benefit from minor tweaks, IMHO.;)
