A very clever composition, Justin! It draws the spectator into its almost illusive perspective, creating the impression that is is actually the pieces of two photos cut diagonally and put together. (Up left and bottop right regions). And then suddenly the upper left part pops in front of the background!
This is not only a game of light and shadow, but also a game of soft and hard contours on wood, which is so interesting to see, as they change rhythmically from the foreground to the background.
Perhaps the planks should be exactly vertical? I don't know. The geometry would be straighter but then the tension of the exception to straight geometry would also disappear.
A very well seen and carefully captured view.
