Thanks Jessie. The only reason I went out in the dark to shot this is I had Doyle with me and he had a flashlight and a big shoe! I'm not afraid of spiders, I just don't like them. Yet, like you say in a macabre way they are interesting.

Thank you Michele.....we do have many spiders, possibly due to all the plants. Personally I hate spiders, but they do eat the bugs that bother my plants, so the spiders can stay.

Thank you Bryan. The focus is a little soft, it was very dark outside and I had to turn off most of the lights, so even finding it in the view finder was a chore.

marnie - i for sure would not go out in the dark, not with this monster around! they are beautiful in a macabre way, aren't they?? personally, i hate them. i try not to be that way in front of lillie, though, bc i don't want her to be scared of them like i am! great shot!!

Wow a nice shot, Marlyce! As long as itīs not big as a dog I wouldnīt worry:-) A pity that itīs blurry, but I know how difficult is can be getting clarity in such a photo.

Yowza!!!!!!!!! My gosh it looks like a crab amazingly . . . . (?) I never thought about that before but wonder about the large spiders and crab... nahhhh!
Just amazing how much resemblence there is tho . . ....
YOU my friend have become the 'spider web' if not 'spider' image captivator ! It is a very BIG compliment. I have tried ... and I can't get close to what you do !!!

Interesting shot, although slightly soft. I believe your camera focused right past the spider onto the web itself. Other than that, I agree with you that it's ugly! I'm not a big fan of spiders myself.
