Oh my gosh! I absolutely LOVE this one. The image . . . old and new . . . the strong is unknown. Which is stronger . . . the Oak tree that breaks in the wind or the reed that bends with it? A yielding plant and a firm hand . . . so much here . . . beautiful!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Now this captivates immediately. A wonderful idea to have it. The imagination of its life and creation!.

Hi James... I actually do happen to have one, (many in fact), but I must first get a permit to post the entire statue. I do have other interesting mossy statues around my own garden though. You might like some of those. I will go and do a shoot soon.
Cheers to you James! Aniko :)

Heya Dave!
Yeah, it is moss... a very damp mountain area where this shot was made. I really do love to "see" beyond the BIG picture... :)
Your comments are always warmly appreciated my friend.. Hugs, Ani :)

Thank you James.. I will soon be doing another shoot in this place where I like to "pick the details" rather than photograph entire statues.
Best Wishes, Aniko :)

Great shot, Aniko. I like this. And probably would never have spotted the opportunity. You have to look at the close-up instad of the overall. I find the green moss(?) very appealing in this. Before opening the thumb, I figured this was a real hand, heavily altered in post-processing.
Hugs to you, Dave

It's a great shot. Reminds me of that old science fiction film--maybe it was called The Hand--where that hand went around chasing after people.

Beautiful capture, Aniko! Beautiful tones and great light.
It is funny that other photographer had almost the same idea, but with her own hand: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1183435
