About I enjoy using this film. Ilford SFX. Super cotrasty with some grain and a lot of contrast. Usually I prefer to use it on other than people, (landscapes, old buildings etc), but sometimes I think it's good to experiement and I have shot a couple of rolls off on people.

Once again, kind thanks, Renato. I think the light played all on its own :)

Warm Wishes,

Beautiful portrait, Aniko!
Loved the b&w tones and the way you "played" with the light. Good job!

You're welcome, Aniko! No, I have not used that film...I rarely have used any B&W film. Mostly, I used color slide, then convert certain images to B&W in the computer.:)

Thank you so much Shirley. Have you ever used Ilford SFX film? It works really well with both red and green filters or none at all for a more subtle effect. I don't know if it's still available under that name (if at all). I keep my supply in the freezer. I must actually check if it is still available!!! I like it :)

Again, thank you for your sweet comments, my friend,
Aniko :)

Thank you so much Thomas...
I am sure it is the nature of the film that brings this kind of softness. Although full of contrast, which is often "hard", this film has a softer side to it.

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)
