In response to Jason's comment I think I actually prefer the ears like this - it somehow adds to the character and interest of the shot. (And this time the background is perfect!)

I think it's just right - closeup, sharp, an expression that seems to say something, and a blurred background. Only the tip of the nose seems a bit soft, but it could be quickly sharpened in software.

Sooooooo cute!! Great in B&W!!! Wonderful tones, fine details/DOF... (just look at those eyelashes... ;-D), neat portrait shot... well captured!!
BTW just to warn you: I'll be coming 'down' in three weeks, so I'd tell your friends and family... and this 'disaster area' is going to stay for four weeks as well... oh boy... LOL!!! But not to worry too much: the west coast is getting the 'brunt of it'...

great shot Ann got a few of these shots coming up as well, the desaturation works beautifully here, if only he had turned his right ear to point forward as well.
