Certainly a favourite, Markus. I believe I once saw, (or more appropriately heard), a peregrine once. It was flying so fast that I never got an accurate view of it's features. However the fact that it was blindingly fast as it dive-bombed the local birds was a telling feature. To get this kind of image takes real talent, and of course habitat research.

Hi Marcus,
Congrats on the award for this one! Well deserved! I've been away a bit with no pc access.
Lots of work to do at the cottage, building a dock.
One thing I really like about your recent ones is the addition of the out of focus foilage in the background. I think when you do this, it makes the bird stand out even sharper.
Just the usual fantastic predator shot :)

Thanks Bruce, you are the first and probably the last :) to notice the blood, she left her kill and that is why she stayed in the area giving me the Op, Dont expect to get this close to a peregrine again as most never do, but great eyes you have..

Oh, Marcus, you do these so well!
I tried to photograph a flying Pelican the other day. All I got in the frame was the back third of its body! LOL LOL That's how good I am at taking bird images! LOL
