About
In Britain IZEL VOR means "low tide"... It's the link between these images.
This serie is based on really short depth of field and foreground details... Also using the after sundown particular light and color effects. Most landscapes pictures are always sharp and focused from lens to background... I wanted to make a different approach of lanscape and get something closer than painting with pastel and light colors and also focusing on foreground details. the blured background is just there for the color effect and to complete the frame. Actually I was used to 24/36 cameras or panoramic format and with the hasselblad and the square format I had to rethink my way of shooting and framing landscapes. That's the great thing with these old mechanical cameras... You have to think about what you are doing before pressing the button. and the quality of lenses and depth of field enables to get precise details... No really digital work on this serie except a few contrast adjustments
