Thanks for all your kind comments Joe. When I opened my mail this morning, I was tickled that there were sooo many from usefilm. It always makes you feel good to know that others are enjoying your pictures.

Thanks you Randy, for taking the time to work on this shot. I think this is an improvement. I have a hard time getting my adjustments correct. This does bring out the colors, and I think this is more pleasing to the eye. I have so much to learn, and I'm loving every minute of it.

Hi Teresa, pretty scene, what a great ribbon of a waterfall. I read the comments and would say this has a soft muted look, but being a native to NW, I know that it is often the natural conditons. You can see here the moss covering the rocks, a result of misty atmosphere from the falls. I played with it a little in PSPro, no saturation adjustment but a little histogram level tweaks that can also have effect of deepening color tones. I've included adjusted version here, I wouldn't say it's an improvement but you can view for comparison.

Don't take it the wrong way. This is a wonderful picture. The land scape is wonderful and the waterful gives it a bit of a fairy tale look.

Editing my bring out some color, but then I'm worried about being overwhelmed by it. I'd say give it a shot and see how it turns out.

Either way, it's a great picture.

I just want to start by thanking you for your comment Mike. I had to think about it for a while...it felt like I had been cut to the bone. But you are painfully correct. Although it looks like what I had seen, it does lack the punch, that is needed to make a good photograph. Since you took the time to critique it, I must think that it may be worth working on. Will adjustments in PS help, or am I wasting my time? Point me in the right direction if you can. Thanks again, Teresa

I really like the apperance of the waterful, however as someone else mentioned, it seems to be lacking in color. It gives it a bit of an interesting look, especially since often you see brilliant color capture in such compositions.

I'm really not sure how to respond to it. A part of me wants to think that the lack of color makes it look like a quick vacation picture, while another part of me is relieved that i'm not overwhelmed with stimuli. The lack of bright colors makes you look at the land scape a bit more, while at the same time, a black and white version of this fall could make it look a bit cliche.

The image seems a little washed. Close your ap a little more, I guess. Does that lens have f22?
