Wan Chai Street market. At least once a day, I would walk through there. It's a few very shot, crowded blocks that fester in the shadows of the soon to be demolished, decaying apartment buildings. Brilliant reflective sky-rises will take their place to fill the Hong Kong Skyline. I hope the markets stay.
A few streets offer clothing and toys, but the heart of the market are the food stalls. As told by a friend before I got there, it will be a smell that I will never forget. As I type this, I get tense, as if to prepare for another stall that sells fresh meat.
This stall was a refreshing site, and was possibly just restocked a few minutes earlier.
Joel, your photographs from your trips to Hong Kong are providing us with an insight into everyday life there! We've had skyscrapers, the train station, now market stalls!
