Doyle... thanks for your input..I did use a 400 speed film, but the noise in the sky is from the way scan my photos, need to get a dedicated negative scanner, and a noise reduction program.. in the printed copy, there is no evidence of any noise at all. thank you for your crituque, I love any suggestions
Great composition Greg . . . well seen and captured. On the plus side . . . the colors are rich, realistic and well saturated. The focal point at the crest of the bridge is pleasingly off center and the wood, water and grass give us a variety of colors and texture to please the eye. On the potential for improvement column (IMO) there is a distracting tilt to the horizon which would be better leveled. Also, while not nearly as distracting as the horizon line (to me) I feel a tad bit too much noise has entered into the sky . . . likely due to either a high ISO or post-processing light enhancement. Not a big deal really, but something to watch for. I could probably have been more precise had you listed the f/stop, ISO and shutter speed, but you can get the idea of what I'm looking at and take it from there. I hope this helps you see this from my eyes . . . and keep in mind that this is still a really good shot . . . I'm only mentioning those things which (in my opinion) would give this already good shot even more impact! :)
