About Framed in-camera and the slightest touch of paintshop pro8 to bring out the pink slightly....

The ">" shape in the water is showing its reflection and is a moss covered branch that has been there a very long time...the quality of reflective sky light with blueberry and light rosy pink was soft and poetic to me...

Not noise in foreground water, but is the texture of the shallow water with debris...

Absorbing the moment was enchanting...

Feedback appreciated...

yes,i see how the ">" can be considered a distraction but with a wide angle shot there was no choice to leave it out other than cloning it out...it is a distinguishing feature for us locals,so decided to present this "as i saw it",but good point,Dave ;>

Okay, nuybmer 3. I still like the colors and this one, the reflections seem to make the water look like it is flowing. I would say of the three, this is my least favorite. That is not to say it is bad in any way, it's still a nice peaceful, moody photo.

I think what makes it my least fav is the tree in the water on the right. It would be something I would do, making sure to include it in the frame. But in essence, it distracts. It breaks up the water and it's "arrow" makes your eye naturally move to the right and out of the photo itself.

Best,
Dave

Wow this is beautiful Gayle I love this scene, the moss covered branch and reflection on the water really makes this shot! Do you shoot with Randy Lawrence? He has the same lake and branch in his last post, Im nosey LOL....

OH! You and Randy went out shooting together? I recognize this shot from his portfolio, and even the same clouds overhead, except panned just more to the left.

Hmmmm?

This is soft, pastoral and very lovely, Gayle.

Enchanting is the word, particularly as you've managed to produce a dreamy-like soft focus in the foreground. More water in this comp, which adds much to the idea of peace and tranquility. The stillness is amazing. Feel like more contrast is needed in the background trees, but suspect that might change the mood. Again, it's hard to find anything to nitpick, with my limited knowledge anyway! :)

This is pretty, Gayle, and you're right, it's very peaceful. I like the blues in this one a lot. Just one little nitpick...the horizon could stand just a tad of straightening. Good job!
Kathy
