An excellent nature shot Eb - almost an abstract with the monotone grays and the intertwining branch patterns. Great work! Joggie

Pat, I agree the D200 images are a cut above, and so they should be! If there is a good lens, the D200 can bring out the full potential - not so the D70. However, I hope to have use for both cameras. I am glad you are still married! Eb

I like it alot. Images appear more rich and vivid. I placed it side by side with the D70 last Wednesday night at the Lufkin Drill Team Spring Show (see my last two posted shots). I was shooting with my 200mm f2.0 and the iamges were about the same. The one I posted are with the D200 and an 85mm f1.4. The shots with this combination came out really nice. I suspect this is more about the lens and not the camera body (even though it likely helped). I am really suprised that my wife didn't kick up alot of dust over the purchase of the D200.

Eb - SUBERB clarity. This almost looks monochrome excluding the birds. Nice shot.

Thanks Dave! The new camera helps. The higher quality allows me to do a tighter crop. My normal 600 mm. lens crop becomes closer to 1000mm with the after camera crop. I find with birds, even large ones, there never seems to be enough telephoto. It's a rule! :) Eb

Great shot of these guys, Eb! You've got very good clarity, detail and colour in the birds. BTW, congrats on the new camera! Dave.
