Sir,
Interesting close up but trees falling in background are distracting, horizonatal compositon with same offcenter subject might make it more dominenet capture

Hi Edward,

Good use of the DoF, it creates a very nice distance between background and the plant. I also like the off centered element in the composition, but the way you cut off the stem on the lower edge is rather distracting. I think the image could've been more balanced and stronger if you'd let the plant occupy a more dominant space in the photo; the background attracts too much attention in this set-up.
