Very very nice lighting on both the brown and the white sculptures, but the combination of both supplies also a very nice contrast. Such a photo I would expect in some museum guide!
All the best,
Nick

very nice composite image! the sculptures are so interesting! loved the way you arranged the 4 rectangles a little out of symetry, that gives a nice balance to the whole! the colors are a great choice too.

Hi Don, thanks for your comments! The original sculpture is based on the legend of the Raven as the originator of man, where he landed on a beach and opened up the giant clamshell, releasing humans to start the human race. This is what is depicted in the sculpture. Of course there's a lot more to it than that, but that's it in a nutshell, er, clamshell! Dave.

Hello Mr. Hammond, thanks for your comments and continued support! Sorry for the delay getting back to you, I wanted to fool around with the shot first, as sometimes I can't remember exactly what I did! It seems that if you have an object with a lot of contrast from the background, you just have to use the fill tool, but it may not completely do the job and you might have to do it in different places to fill up all areas, or just finish the job by cloning in the background colour to areas that didn't get filled. In other cases where you have to isolated your subject you would have to select it by using the magic wand or drawing around it, and then inverting the selection before using the fill tool. Even then it may not fill in everything if there are different colours in the background, so you might have to go back to filling those areas separately or cloning. Hope this helps! Dave.

Very beautiful Dave. To use the fill background flood thing, do you need to draw the line around the figures first to make it work? Was trying but wasn't getting what I thought should be...... Thanks.

I am glad you included the original scuptures. Since the objects are rather abstract it adds a lot to the snow sculpture to know what they represent. Del.
