About	A very recent shot taken from one of my favourite locations on Dava moor near Carrbridge. The deep red exhausted heather has earnt its summer rest and was coated with an extraordinarily heavy coat of thick frost. The young fir trees standing proud of the moor were even more frozen. As the sun did its work the frost on the moor slowly melted letting some of its rich colour seep through but the trees remained stubbornly white. Twas magic. Hi John, needless to say I have both versions, both seem to work well though some prefer less of the blue sky.

A wonderful capture. I wonder how it would have looked in a landscape format? Great timing. Now I have to research where Dava Moor is. Thanks for sharing. - JB

Great shot, Ian. I love the stark landscape dotted here and there with little "Christmas trees"!! Wonderful low angled lighting as well. Cheers, Gary
