thanks Kathy, i looked at a black BG but it separated the shots too much, that was the reason behind using another shot of the cormorant in flight( one of the out of focus shots) as the BG

Very well done, Jason! Interesting composition, and each shot could stand alone. I really like the background that you used, but....I'm wondering if the shots would stand out better if you had used black or some other dark color. Just a thought...I really like this!
