Ooh Gayle!
This is nice, being all alone in the dark dank dusky dinge, puffing and panting out on the windy--or potentially windy--moors with a long cloak. And a tree.
Have a look at this one by Gábor Koscsó: http://www.usefilm.com/image/925583.html
Yeah!

Great Silhoutte of the tree. Love the different shades of grey caused by the fog. Very nice conversion. Love it all the same, even if it is done to death. Never tire of looking at these shots and yours is no exception. Kelly

hi,Kambiz and thanks for dropping by...i didn't use any lighting effect via paintshop and what you see is the natural overcast diffused lighting thru the fog...i only converted to B/W...regards,gayle

I read a comment quite some time ago that has stuck with me for some reason. I don't know who it was from or who it was to, but she said...I know that this is a lot like your shot, but the difference is, this one is MINE! That applies to this in my mind, Gayle. Yes, there are a lot of these shots, but this is YOURS, and I like it! The composition is good, and that's a great tree for a silhouette! Kathy

Maybe done, but not done in your style Gayle! The tree stands out in stark detail against the fogged in background. Very well worth the shivers! Regards--Bill V.

I know exactly what the title implies, as I feel fogged in regularly.
I like the vertical framing and balance, Gayle.

I don't think one can overdo a lonesome tree in the fog :) I love it!

Very well done moody image. Maybe a bit too much space at the bottom, just a sliver of ground might have been even better.
And as said, if everything that has been done before were not allowed we would all have to destroy our cameras immediately.

I like it, but then i'm a sucker for trees, and trees in fog are even better! Good work Gayle, love the simplicity and the beauty of the tree. I think that the bushes that you can barely see are a good addition to the tones within.

Super shot Gayle. I've often seen similar sights with the bare tree in the fog like this and I really enjoy looking at it when I see it. This tree looks like the delicate remnants of leaves are crying the way they droop down like that. Against the fog it looks quite sad...but that could just be my state of mind tonight. :( :) I like the solitude and love the monotone. Really makes the mood. Love it.
Cheers - Ann :)

Gayle - if cliches were banned at Usefilm, the postings would drop to near zero so relax. The point is YOU saw this and YOU chose to capture it the way you did. It is simple, in a zen sort of way. Once you get to this point of quality all thats left to comment on is just how much space to leave on each edge. And That is more about us than you. Well done. John B
