Thanks Janet! I really appreciate hearing from you, I admire your work :) She's not my little one, but you're right, she is very beautiful! I look after her while her parents work, she's like part of the family though. She's the only child-subject I really have access to at the moment, luckily she's so gorgeous and photogenic!

Hehe, yeah, kids are classic, I love how you can read what you like into a photograph though, regardless of the reality of the situation :)

Welcome to UF, Peta, and congratulations on your small but stunning portfolio. What a beautiful little girl you have :) Love this duo...you presented it well. Nice light and muted tones, too.

hehe, waiting for the ice cream! :) Its the same here with my kids. A lot of my photos give the impression of serious moments but most of the time it was just a very simple thing that caught their attention. I still love to get this more serene look on my portraits.

David, she may look like she's in deep thought but in reality she was just thinking about how soon her icecream was coming ;) Her greenstone was a gift from her grandparents, they gave it to her while down for the weekend and had just left the day before the photo was taken, so I guess you could say they were 'gone' but not for ever.

seven! Just wonderful! I really like this two shot combination. Her look suggest deep thoughts that are going on in her. Maybe the greenstone was agift from a person that is gone now.

Wow, I love the green necklace. I'm a sucker for children. But, I love the shot. The child has a great expression on his/her face.
Bravo!
