Thanks again Mark about the cubist analogy - very true, these old cars resemble human faces :) Kind regards, Ina

Very effective as a panorama. Love the contrast in details, metalic, rust, paint, glass. There is a lot of dynamic tension here in the way the various elements are situated.

Thanks Hugo for the in-depth comment! I have a natural tendency towards close-ups and tight crops, (my favorite lens is the 70-300mm) so I almost didn't post this one. Thanks for the great feedback, maybe I'll do a few abstracts, although I was all too happy with the natural background of where these trucks were placed! They seemed "picture perfect" ;) Best regards, Ina

Thanks very much Andrzej, I liked these trucks A LOT! So there will be more pictures in this series. Mostly here I wanted to show the detail of the rust texture, I wasn't too concerned with the composition, it's easy for me to cut "interesting" crops, but this wasn't the case, it's just cut for pano. I hope to add more transportation shots, as I already have a great number of such pictures on my hard drive, but every time something new pops up :) Best regards, Ina

Ina, great seasoned rust, beautiful faded paint but a chrome polish too, a bit of everything to mark the guy's way through his life. Reminescent for many, and for me a thought whether I'll have any luster left on me at the age when I'll be of the roads.
Great colors, and cool composition with the lamps on diagonal axis and nice rounded shapes of the handsome one. Complete frame. Cheers, n.j

Hi Ina, yeah. A studebaker would've done even better. These are the textures and the style I referred to. I think the repetitive shape of the signal and the head light, placed along a imaginary diagonal line in combination with the split between hood and bodywork is what makes this photo tick. Also, the materials, and the rusty textures are well captured. IMO, this photo is much stronger than the previous one, because it's less static due to the diagonal lines as well as the fact that there's no need for a background; it creates a better unity within this shot, I believe. Good work and great feel!
Cheers,
Hugo

great detail in this shot. And I like the use of panorama. It ads to the abstractness of it all. The coloring is great as well. Overall good work. congrats
