Samantha,
Without my voicing an opinion one way or the other, could you explain what it is about this photo that gives it artistic quality? What was your intent, that is to say, what did you want the viewer to see (or feel)?

The low rating could have to do with the fact that these people have no heads. Though I do understand what the one person said about it being an interesting perspective -- I would rather see the heads of these people and not just feet.

I have seen good photos here in Usefilm that can be destroyed by the choice of a project. Maybe that is the case for the low ratings for this image. Reading the project Characters, it says: "Show us some of the strangest and most unique characters you can find".
Perhaps this is a forum discussion.

Well I defintely don't understand why such low ratings are given to this photo. I happen to think this photo is great! Not because this is my photo, but because it has artistic quality to it. If I took the photo of just their bodies.. the photo would have no character. I guess people just don't like legs. The background is clear, the exposure is how I wanted it. *shrug* You could atleast comment if you are going to give me a low rating. thanks.

Definitely don't understand the rating of "1" without comment. I think this is a very cool perspective. Where I think a problem lies is the flash which seems a bit harsh. But I like the choice of B&W and like the detail you caught. Nice job.
