About This is to follow Ina's invitation to present a couple of my shots from Port Dover on Friday 13-th this January.

For those who do not know - on each Friday 13th Port Dover, a small fishing village on the north side of Lake Erie is hosting thousands of bikers from all over the continent for the Biker's Bash.

My intent is to show 3-5 reportage like scenes to give you a sense of this special event.

Czeslaw, I have replied a couple days before, but seems like the message did not go through - there was shut down of the site for a day or so.

You rihgt, seems like the same spirit, similar people and the same strong affection to bikes - doesn't matter is it Canada or Poland. Wyglada tez ze mamy kilka podobnych ujec, hehe.

Pozdrowienia i dziekuje za komentaz, Trzymaj sie, n.j

Hi again Andrzej,
Great job capturing the spirit of the event in your Port Dover series. You can feel the power from the bikes even without the title.
Don't be too dissapointed if you don't get so many views on this type of series. I think the same sort of thing goes for sports and street scenes as well. I agree with you that sometimes it is easier to get attention with arty PS tricks and angles than it is with straight journalistic shots.
I have a similar situation with a lot of my Auto Racing images. They mostly appeal to a small group of people. I never take the amount of views on my shots as an indication of how good the image is for that reason.
Keep up the journalistic posts!
Andre

Andrzej, UF is the place for YOUR portfolio, and this is not only journalism, but a very artistic picture with lots of human interest and great subject and composition. Keep going!

Ina, I guess UF is not a place for jurnalism kind of photography. Likely UF community here considers this discipline not being artistic enough. But frankly speeking it's more challenging than the nice beaches, colorfull mountains, sunsets, sunrises shallow DOF macros and any combination of those. Anyway I'll do my show I've promissed. Cheers, n.j

Wow! Andrzej, I love this picture! The motorcycles, the people's faces, the crowd. I like also the smoke, the cars behind them, the glow on the wet pavement, and the whole atmosphere with all the jungle of signs and lights. Perfect urban event capture, full of realism, great journalistic moment! I only wish I was there :-( but I'm so happy you did! Fantastic work! Ina
