Ina, realy wierd thing happened, it was cut realy short. Yes it is my political manifest, and you are right it was in a pinch about 80s and us taking a couple of bricks from the dividing walls. Anyway for some it will still hold my intended expresion for others it will be just a green wall with no tears no blood on just a paint and a rust. You know, one can tell the story, but no one should stop it telling. Thanks Ina.
Dear Andrzej, This green crumbling wall is so symbolic with its zig-zagged white salt and bright red - almost bloody looking cracks, and the rough dry plants, it suggests to me nothing less than a political struggle. Added to my favorites.
Dear Andrzej, This green crumbling wall is so symbolic with its zig-zagged white salt and bright red - almost bloody looking cracks, and the rough dry plants, it suggests to me nothing less than a political struggle. It can be a symbol for the fall of communism, or any dictatorship. It's a very powerful image, blunt and unmistakeable! Each element, especially the end bricks detaching one by one, the green - sign of decay, everything speaks of the fall of an empire, of the power of changing opression, of freedom. This could make a great poster, it's graphics are fantastic, and the meanings are so direct! Amazing work, both conceptually and artistically great! Added to my favorites.
Czesc Dominika, yes I have drag the image through a couple enhancements mostly in Photoshop 7 using mediachance plugins. Yes I have steightened an image a bit, yes the colors were enhanced for the reds looked like blood and whites like tears, yes it has gone through layers in PS and yes it has my face in upper left. Yes it has many symbolic layers in it related to a couple events in our history. Yes you know the history so yes you can interpret it freely. Yes my first title idea was "sciana placzu" but no I did not used that as it's already taken. And yes I did not meant all that when shooting the image, and yes I found it later, and right jest to chwila zadumy patriotycznego emigranta. And yes thanks for interest. Cheers, n.j
