Very beautiful lighting using your method, great detailed macro as well. This cropped or composed view adds more interest than if entire blossom were included.

well joel... the close-up/macro is so wonderful and marvelous also in the play with the shadow is so intimate so deep inside, many delicate and tender this lily captured..

Thank you! It was LOTS of "miss"... took 84 pics just to get the right one! Shaking the flashlight over the course of the exposure was the answer to get rid of shadows, and turning all the lights in the house off help wonders for the blacks!

Its an interesting technique 'painting' the subject with the light from a torch that can be a bit hit or miss but has worked well for you here Joel.
