This is beautiful Don. I've been to Sedona a number of times and see something different every time I go. This is another lovely view and I like the way the trees frame the image. A postcard shot.

Hope you have a Happy New Year Don

Cheers - Ann :)

Hi Christian, This is the beauty of RAW format y ou can really get detail in the shadows that was not possible before for me. I can't believe the detail that is in these photos if you just take the time to draw it out. Christian go to Photoshoptv and download their weekly program. They have some neat tricks for Photoshop. If you want let me know by email. Thanks for your very helpful comments. Don.

Couldn't get any better. It is a perfect landscape view, with great perspectve, contrast and colours. The angle of the sun is revealing the textures and the patterns in the rock, yet the shadows are not blocked.

Hi Don...can't post...can comment!! Computer repairs commence on Friday.

This is a wonderful landscape my friend the details and textures are superb. The way you have utilised the branch along the top and the tree itself on the left hand makes an excellent natural frame for this breathtaking scene. Well done to you Don. I hope to get back to normal this weekend...'See' you soon, I hope.... All the best....Ray

Hi Don, this one looks somehow familiar, and reminds me of a photo I commented on a while ago. Breathtaking view, but on my screen the contrasts look a bit high, blocking the details and tones in the darker areas. I'd love to go there someday, though....:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Yes Larry that 18-70 is a great lens. I had just taken an IR picture before this one and had the lens set on manual focus and didn't reset it before t aking this one so don't know where it was focused but it worked out alright, espesially when they are stopped down as I usually do for landscapes. Thanks Larry. Don.

Don this is just beautiful. What a great vantage point this is.

This has got to be some of the most spectacular country there is. So MUCH to photograph there.

Love this one. And the natural frame of greens is perfect!

The high clouds really seem to enhance

Very nice image, with lovely composition.
Lori :)

John, don't think I will make it to Az Highways. I use digital and they still want film.. We had the editor at one of our meetings last year and they still want transparencies to work with. I think they will change some of these days. Thanks . Don.

Terry, Arizona has some very beautiful scenery.. The area around Sedona is noted for its beautiful red rocks. Thanks for commenting my picture. Don.

This is really good Don. While normally the sky should be clearer to bring out the clouds, in this case it softens up the rocks so the details dont get lost in the contrast. You are on your way to Arizona Highways!
Happy new year.
