Hi Don, thanks for the reply. It confirms my findings, and now I know it wasn't me, the scene or how I set the camera.... I haven't placed any IR shots on UF yet, but did put a few on my site: http://www.wolfdesign.nl/thumbnails.php?album=54
Merry Christmas to you!
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Hugo, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I use manual setting of f 8 and let the meter determine the shutter speed. I have found that if you use a smaller aperture you will get a hot spot in the center of the image. You might be able to use f 11 but check your image to see if it is overexposed in the center. I am shooting in RAW format. I also set the focus to manual focus as the camera can't focus through this filter. Focus and then put the filter on and take the picture. In Photoshop I convert the image to black and white with Fred Miranda black and white conversion tool. The I have to adjust the contrast and brightness to what looks good. Let me know how your get along. Sincerely, Don.

Hi Don, I do like your IR magic; Very inspiring work! The tilted horizon bothers me a bit in this photo, though. Other than that, the exposure and IR effect are very well handeled. What were your camera settings? Just curious. I got myself an IR filter too, but I'm still struggling with the camera settings.
Cheers,
Hugo
