Hey Alex, the snow layered landscape is pretty cool looking. I look at the image and feel like there is a pretty interesting landscape at the top right, but I can only see half of it. And the fence is pointing at it, but I can't see the part it's pointing at. I realize you were shooting the fence, but my first impression is that it makes a strong leading line but not a strong subject. If you recompose with the fence leading to that set of trees on the far side, I think this would be stronger. Just my take. JB

The light and colours here are beautiful.
I think your title is well chosen and that it underlines what is wrong with this picture. There is no drama in the composition. The lines simply exsist. And yet we both see the potential here. Did you take any closer to the fence with your lens set at full wide angle?

The perspective and lines work for me. I just feel it could possibly use just a bit more punch but in general I like this.

What was the zoom extension used here ? Somehow I find myself wishing for more feeling of perspective here, and for a wider angle. Maybe with the camera more to the left... But it still works well. Nice peaceful shot. It would jst need eithera bit more dramatic lighting or a bit more dramatic angle imo - or ideally both... Regards.

Hi Alex, I like the lines as well, but I think they may run into themselves a little bit in the middle. Either a higher or lower perspective might help with this, and to stand a bit to the right, capturing slightly less of the left side of the fence and more down river. A sunny day would also set this off nicely. A very nice winter scene, however, and I can see where you'd shoot a roll!
