Thank you Carlo, I'm just wondering... you're the third person to comment on this (older) picture today. What a strange coincidence! Thanks for your nice words! Have a great weekend, Ina

Thanks Michael, it was a long process until I got to this one, I had many other versions, I tried not to make it look "cruel." I'm going through my Yellowstone pictures now to see if there is anything worth posting, thanks for the invitation! Ina

I like this shot. The carcass is a little disturbing, but it's somehow interesting. Flatter tones, almost B+W, really intruiguing.

Hi Ian, I had about 20 versions of this, until I realized that I shouldn't bump the contrast contrary to my natural tendency :) Thanks for the visit, Ina

Wo! I find it interesting you haven't blown this out with contrast more because that's what I would have been tempted (erroneously) to do. Instead of cleaning it up into a feather with contrast you have kept the meat on the bones.

What an interesting photo. I would never have thought to have taken this shot. I love how every one sees thing differently. Make you feel like you are in a differnt world. This has such nice shapes and textures to it. Kelly

Thanks Gyuri, the memento mori is absolutely right! The technical part: full bright sunlight with strong shadows; added Holga filter, plus a few more adjustments in PS to get the color depth.

Great technical perfection, Ina, the FZ10 seems to work superbly. Light conditions are interesting, was it with flash? The pebbles and the fishbone make an interesting visual-geometric contrast, the skeleton of course is a good memento mori (especially if you think of the bears). Best, Gyuri

Hi Aram, I wanted to title it "Fossil" initially, but the English meaning is different in the dictionary (my first language is Romanian) - so I ended up with this title...

Thanks Susie, I've had this image treated in every way you can imagine: I had a gold version, a silver, a platinum, a copper... etc. In the end this one seemed the most natural one, although if you saw the original, it was quite boring. Thanks for the comment and your great spirit of observation!

Unmistakeable salmon? There were a number of skeletons scattered on the rocks, and there was a bear warning posted. I put the two together and came up with the scenario. Sherlock Holmes

I like these tones you have been using Ina. This has an almost metallic look to it...like there is gold dust all over everything. That salmon was certainly picked clean...well seen Ina and you chose a cool way to present it too. Good job.

Hi Ina, We are a bit out of sync aren't we! Things are going pretty well. We have a lot of "stuff" to work out, but we're getting there. We have a great staff so far, and that is a big part of this business! We have a bit of an eclectic thing going on for us, and the food is just home cooking. I do all the baking and all of our breads (except for the hamburger buns) are homemade. It's a lot of work, but I hope that it's worth it. While we were catering baking bacame my passion, so we've carried that over into this business. I love working with Susie...that in itself makes it worthwhile! Thanks for your interest and all your encouragement, Ina! It means a lot to both of us! Kathy

This shot tells and interesting story. And beyond that it's a nice study of textures, relief, and shape. The subtle color is also interesting; almost monochromatic, but not... Nice one.

Dear Ina, the stones look alive, they have so many hues of greys and even some designs on some here and there. The light caresses them so shyly, it gives the shot a very mysterious atmosphere. Are we looking for the assasssin of the poor fish? Gabriela
