Jacob French's imageopolis Photo Portfolios

abstraction (55)

odd shots

angles and lines (13)

yup, you read it right

b & w (48)

candidly speaking (45)

I love taking candid shots of people. I think that when people act naturally, they photography much better. Problem is, they don't often act naturally when they know they're in front of the lens. ;-)

children (40)

As an elementary teacher I have the opportunity to be around wonderful kids every day. Most of my time, however, is taken up by--you guessed it--teaching. When I do get the chance to pick up the camera, I enjoy capturing the kids in images.

degradation (2)

I'm not sure why I'm so drawn to things that are falling apart. Maybe it's because it makes me think about all the things they've seen or heard during their lifespans. Everything has a story, you know?

film (12)

focally speaking (8)

blurriness in all it's wonder

I do (4)

weddings

macros (11)

me, myself, and I (2)

Self-portrait work.

naturally (65)

nature

night and light (8)

exactly as it says

photo-art (14)

Some are experiments, some are just for fun. I think photography has more to it than "just" capturing what you see exactly. Artistic impression counts for a lot. That's what I believe, take it or leave it.

rain and water (6)

all things wet

run, forrest, run! (6)

Sports shots.

show me the way (4)

Maybe I like signs because I'm seeking guidance in my life. Maybe not.

stay still (24)

still life and things I dont know otherwise how to categorize

vroom-vroom (13)

things with motors

what a face (41)

portraits

wide loads (4)

panoramic shots
