I can definitely see where you are coming from Susie, your crop does add another dimension to the shot. Instead of having a central focus, you've created a line of focus across the photo - an element I like to see in photography ;) Thanks for commenting!

Hi Michael, a very eye catching photo. I think a little off the left would enhance it though. Hopefully I can upload the version I cropped...what do you think. I love the filter on this one. Very soft and whimsical.

Yes indeed David, I believe it was the type of shot that deserved that kind of treatment. I was planning on doing an abstract (putting the filter to the extreme), but I think it would have taken away from the atmosphere and it would make it harder for viewers to make a connection with the shot.
