About Of this year anyway. I got this when everyone was cleaning up a community garden plot area, and I'm sure all the butterflies are gone now.
I believe it's an American Copper, but if anyone knows for sure, please correct me!

It's getting a bit chilly for these delicate creatures. But with global warming, we are getting mild October weather. So maybe not the very, last one. Wonderful detail, colour and a masterly preferential focus. Very good floral detail and shadowing on the petals. Sharp focus on the stamens, also. Must have taken endless patience, Dave!

Regards
Colin

It's a beauty, Dave, whatever it is!
I couldn't believe my luck yesterday when I walked past a bush with no less than 3 different native British butterflies on it!! That's pretty unusual this late in the year!
Best regards, Chris

I like it, maybe the movement adds something extra? i don't expect butterflies to be models and this photograph captures a sense of the subject doing the everyday business of living...Very nice...
