About Same scenario as before, I literally had 10 minutes of light. In fact it was too low to go below f11 at 1/30th sec hence the shallow DOF. In saying that its nice to leave it a little imperfect. There was a smashing contrast between the land and the sky but I did tweek it a little further in PS. Some like the rebate, others hate it but I like it. Its nice to throw in a few every now and again to break up the layout of images in the portfolio.

Artistic use of wide angle perspective, I love the feeling of vastness and space, and the nice color contrast. Would also look fine in B&W, IMO
Cheers

Shane, Yes I guess that I do like pictures a little less contrasty. I just express my opinion and sometimes others don't like it but I am just telling it as I see it.. You do some very fine work and everyone is entitled to do what they like.. I am the same way. Take care. Don.

Hi Don - there was'nt a lot of foreground detail anyway but I felt the contrast helped the overall image. I find that you seem to like your work to be of a flatter contrast so I will say we can agree to disagree on the grounds of personal preference. You are the second person to mention the border. I like it because the red numbers gives the image that something extra. I will however take on board your argument and upload the next few images without the rebate.

Thanks for the constive comments.

Adding the extra contrast seemed to reduce the detail in the foreground.. The sky does contrast nicely with the foreground in color.. I feel that the film edges take away from a great picture. A complimentary frame would work better. Don.
