Hi Ismael,
Thanx buddy for your nice comments and support.
Actually I didn't notice the black triangle till I uploaded the photo and my friends started to comment on it being a distracting part of the photo.
Thanx again my friend, God bless you and take care,
Khaled.

Oh yea .. a breeze can result in motion blur, especially in macro photography, where the working distance is very small.
I'm sure we'll see some marvelous macro shots here, soon :)

Thanx a lot Ned for your advice... I think I should start trying a tripod from now but tell you something, I was capturing this flower in my garden on it's bush and it was little windy :0(
Thanx again my friend, I appreciate your advice and I'll give it a try :0)
Take care,
Khaled.

this flower has a strange shape!
you have nicely composed this pic.

i think it could be sharper. i know how difficult it is to handhold a macro lens and get sharp images! if you have a tripod, USE IT. a tripod can make all the difference.

keep up the good work, Khaled.

Khaled this is a lovely floral...macro's are such fun and can be very challenging as well. Taking pics with my 35-70 no problem, but macro's, yep you gotta work at those..I try not to use a tripod either but sometimes I have to.. I think macro's are my favorite...and I love this one that you did here, it's very interesting, don't think I"ve seen anything like this... very well done my friend...:):)Linda

Your macro shows up on my monitor gloriously large and appears as galactic explosion of soft colors like those put up by NASA we occasionally see on TV screens?
Unusual picture from you and just plain beautiful (oh yes, the new lense)! I wish you?d cloned the black smudge on left middle frame ? you were distracted no doubt!

A first rate picture Khaled!

the black area is not the only problem in my opinion, i believe you could make a better focus with this new lens, the geometry is amazing, keep trying, you could make it much much better, i know

Hi Saqib,
I agree with you totally about one should not try to slow down the shutter speed less than the focal length in most cases but actually I didn't follow the rule :0(
Also, I agree about the photo being little bit soft but as you can see I tried to close the apperature as much as I can (f/20) to the extent that I used a high ISO (ISO 500) so that I can get the sharpest image with my handheld camera.
Thanx a lot my friend, best regards,
Khaled.

Saqib Zulfiqar   {K:2745} 6/11/2005
Have to say, the beauty of the flower and the way it has been composed catches the eye. I agree about the dark thing on the left to be cloned out. By the way did you use a tripod, because at these closeup the slightest camera shake can sometime soften the image. In this case it looks great because of the softness, but was just wondering how it would have looked had it been a bit sharper. Like they say your shutter speed should not be lower than your focal length. Love to see more of your macro work. Wish I could buy this lens.. shucks!!!

Best Regards,

Saqib Zulfiqar

What a beautiful shot. I keep coming back to it. The flower is stunning and I love the softness and blue glow (backlight?). My only problem is my eye keeps getting drawn to the little dark area between the petals on the left side of the picture. I would like to see this shot with that cloned out. I must have come back to this picture a dozen times, It's a real grabber. Beautiful!
