First it has such a strong first impression, and the lighting and tones are perfect for this!
The Man is a great subject and the look on His face IS fantastic, It does convey a look of "contentment".A man that is happy with His often hard, but simple life as a farmer.
He has a kind of shy look also mayby because He is not use to being photographed, and that shyness is so well conveyed here!
