Great accident. It really gives a sense of heat and dust. Nicely done. Thanks for your comments on my Jeffrey Pine Cone image. -- Naomi

Kevin, I like the colours and the backlighting in this one. And of course the dust and pose of the model are key. I think Carlos' attempt is a little in the right direction, but as you say it's better with the wide screen. If it was my photo I would have tried to set the figure more to the background and more to the right to give the feeling of walking into the scene. Just a suggestion. The photo looks great the way it is also. Andre

This was the second of two photos I took, mainly because My camera's memory card is very small and I wanted to save room for other experiments, but also because the wind was carrying the dust straight in to the lens of the camera, and I wanted to keep it from getting too dusty.
I actually like the faming as it is on this particular photo, Thank you though for your suggestions. Maybe it's becuase I'm into movies, but I like the 'widescreen' feel it has, and the lines created by the ground and my legs all converging on the center make it feel best center-framed, in my opinion. Anyone else have any ideas? I love hearing them. :)
and Thank you all for your comments, they are much appreciated.

We called those Happy Accidents in Art School. I love this shot, great idea. How many photos did you have to take until you got what you were looking for? And how were your lungs afterwards? lol Dottie

Kevin, not only the backlighting and the silhouette of the guy but also the motion effect of his feet and the dust on the ground gave it a wonderful moody effect. Good capture my friend, Khaled.

You're right about accidents, Kevin, but you made the best of your "accident" and gave it a deep meening and this is what counts. Thank you for your very empathic comment about our situation as expressed via my "Orange robbon." I think my friend is indeed kind hearted. It shows in his face. Kind hearted is "haviv" (Javiv, as the Spaniards would pronounce it) and the quality is "havivut." Best regards, Rafi

I agree with your understanding of ?accidents? often providing the magic! Gotta stay ?open? to them accidents though ;-)? This IS a fine picture Kevin: an otherworldly, science fiction feel prevails, created by the light, dust, and the way your body is positioned, walking straight to viewer, shaping anticipation in the viewers eye? ?From Dust to Dust? beautifully makes the point of image - an inspired title! A bit of a critique concerns the ?confinement? of the present framing. I feel more vertical space (sky) enriches the ?strangeness?? Hope you don?t my messing with your shot! A very creative one it is!
Cheers, C.

Wondeful shot especially from the light aspect. My only comment is that it is too centralized (i.e. pointing the camera a bit to the left could improve this frame more for my opinion)
Cheers, Ori.
