This is a very creative picture! excellent eye for the colours in the plant. The lines and the thorn gives the image a rather surreal feeling. It almost seems more like an animal than a plant. The blurred blue sky is the perfect background. Excellent image! -- Kind Regards, Rafael

This really grabbed my eye. What a beautiful, yet painful looking plant. Love the colors and DOF. I like the blue sky, it really pops the yellow.

Chris, I like the composition here, both the diagonal aspect, and the contrast with the blue sky! Great clarity and detail, too, so even though it's a relatively simple subject, there's a lot there!
Dave.

I love the splash of color against the sky. Great job with PS. Seamless replacement. Impossible to tell.

Nice idea and great sharpness. My only challange is the hue - a bit too blue and the frame - it's a little too fancy and distracts from the subject matter. But hey!...its your shot!

Cheers

Manu

Fantasia ! great colors and wonderful sky to set it off. One way to keep Your friends camera safe it to never set it down !! And then we reap the benefits !

If you would put it level, it looks like one or the other american landscape over there in the southwest .. ;-)

I think that just viewing the image is important for the viewer... I learn from just viewing others photos and reading the camera settings in addition to some informations that are written in the about.
I like this close-up image Chris, the colors are so vivid... very intresting shot... well done,
Khaled.

This lovley, your lighting goes with the sky.Really like the texture background on this picture. I got the point Chris, I must say that I can't comment on many pictures with dial up connection as it is so slow. Might take 30 to 40 seconds to get the picture up and then almost that much to send it. I am lucky to get my friends commented on in a couple of hours. Don.
