It was misty here today, love it, exposure problems disappear when there's no harsh sun.
it burned off so had to settle for boring old sunny shots.
like the whole ambiance - the rickety fence fallking over and the creepy fog. chilling

Into my favs ! Funny, but the foggy mood is even more exciting for me than cumulus clouds... Probably a german disease. Anyway, I`ve seen many foggy shots, but this one shows us again your high degree of skill, especially for composition. And tones are spot-on, shadows have detail on my monitor. One of the best shots I have seen for a while. Regards; Carsten

Aren't digitals great for practising with Chris, This is a smooth shot you have captured. I do like the way the fog blends in washes the background while everything up close is in good definition!

Yes you have to make the best of what you can, and you have made a very nice image of the mist and fences, I like the way it seems at a tilt, it is rather like the feeling you do get when in thick mist/fog slightly disorientated Margaret

What a good memory you have, Merete. The two shots certainly have their similarities, but the two fences are actually about 10 miles apart. ) Thanks for your comments. Hugs, Chris

I like what you found. Blue sky and white puffy clouds can get boring. This is really neat! I like this one a LOT!!
The situation was just waiting for you to amble along with your camera!
Good eye as usual Chris, Lori ;)

Chris, I think this is TERRIFIC!! It is a great composition but there's something there I can't finger that gives the fence itself a character all it's own. The colours and mist combine to give that mysterious feel. Can I get away with that one? Den

Chris don?t call me nuts but I like this image more than the sunshine ? which we are sick from here in Saudi- and fluffy clouds!! The low angel and the different layers of textures and shapes damp paths, stones, beautifully green grass and the fence! You picked an excellent spot to photograph! Where the fence is separated into many more- or were they other fences?- and is barely showing, which is much better than a plain ordinary fence fading into the thick fog!

Nicely seen and well captured. It has a very "painterly" feel to it and deserves to up on a wall somewhere. I wouldn't mind a bit more detail in the shadowy bits of fencing in top the left corner, but it may be that this is more my monitor than your photograph.
Cheers,
Jon

Ths composition is great. The fences looking a little slanted are a good compliment to the mist in establishing the mood. Very appealing. Thanks for looking at my first posted picture, my friend. There is was down at the bottom feeling it was not going to be seen again. Mary -
