To HS Thank you... I am on a very slow dialup which stops... but I dowish to respond... I believe he is a Rastafarian... who attracted a young German girl visiting T&T on holiday... baby came quickly and marriage will only come if he gets passport or does not meet another who will be able to support him as claimed he did not like to work and certainly not fishing except for the finer gender... there are many alike... as he... at the NE tit of T&T

A portrait of a wonderful savage! First of all, I like this portrait because of the face angle, the expression of his face and a very nice combination of the sea on the background and the person who seems to be related to that sea (fisherman??). Secondly, his pose, his look, and ... his impressive hairdo ... all speaks to his wonderful brave character. I wish i could see this portrait in colour. ((Is he married???)) Thank you.

What a wonderful portrait... and great profile!
The way he stares out over the water make me think of your 'a story' and mine... ;)
20 years later... 20 years older... ... he had come back to his favourite place at the beach? This was the place he had made love to her for the very first time?
And when he closed his eyes and inhaled the salty air? He could almost see her? feel her hands stroking his hair? his face? she always loved touching him and she would look into his eyes as if she desperately wanted to memorize every tiny detail?
He still remembered ? How they used to watch the waves? each of them different? each of them beautiful? He still remembered? How they could talk without saying a word?
But that was 20 years ago? All he had left were memories? But they were still as beautiful as that moment? He opened his eyes? And he smiled?
Well, all I wanted to say... I would have chosen the title 'memories'...
In any case... love it, beautiful work...

ooops, I just realized that I phrased my comment so as to crown myself queen of PS, and that's not at all what I meant!!!! I meant to convey that I am a bit of a PS addict... Sorry for the wroooooong choice of words... I'd hate anyone to think I'm that full of myself!!!! Antonia

After reading suggestions from others to use PS and bring out highlights, I have mixed feelings. I tend to enjoy abstracted subjects and compositions, often using silhouted subjects, which you have more or less already achieved here. You could even think of going to the other direction, pulling out more contrast, which would darken the subject and create a full silohuete. Because as the subject is now, it seems to be just not quite right, he could use a more balanced exposure with highlights and skin tones, or at the sime time you could fully darken and abstract the subject more. I like the style and the work, keep it up.

Do you want suggestions on how to touch up this untouched beauty? I love this, it's almost a silohuette, and the shape created by the man's hair makes for a fantastic composition. PS queen that I am, I'd be tempted to bring out the tones in his face and hightlight in his eye, which would add to the tonal range and provide more depth, but that would also change the dynamic you have going here with the contrast silohuette.
