About Bunmahon is a smashing beach located about 15 miles from Waterford. This is a 2 layered image consisting of the same frame exposed twice, once for the sky and once for the foreground. It looks ok here because it is small, however when viewed large the horizon is pixelated because I still havent perfected the technique of seemlessly stiching layers together (I will trawl the web and find out though!) Digital is becoming less of an appeal to me because of this inability to record over 2-3 stops +/- in the same exposure. I added no colour just bumped the contrast a little for effect. This is a great beach for photos - I hope to get some more material here in the future.

I red your comment on your photo and I propose you this link about Digital blending, maybe there you can learn the technique you need:
www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/digital-blending.shtml

On the other side, your photo is very nice I like the feel of depth and the movement expressed on it.

Nice shot. Wonderful colors, and the water in the foreground is really interesting. I think the image could be even better if the rocks didn't cross the horizon. Good vision.

Now you're just showing-off Shane...hahaha! Fantastic shot...location and especially the foreground are spot on. Congrats. Many thanks for your comment on Folkstone but difficult to compete with Bunmahon...eh?

Cheers

Fantastic shot, the flow of the water between the stones are amazing, the forms by the water in the foreground are like wings of a transparet butterfly :) , beautiful

Beautiful image Shane. Excellent composition. I really like the shapes in the foreground - to me they look a bit like giant shells. Truly outstanding work.

Good choice of viewpoint Shane. Just the right amount of movement in the water. I share your concerns with the ability of digital sensors to handle the contrast range of a landscape. Graduated filters work to an extent otherwise a fair amount of post processing is required. Regards John

Great shots. The wave pattern really works as leading lines to your rock subjects. Perfect colors!
