Thanks Cheryl! I used an old abat jour (is it written like that? :-) ) by putting it on its side and some ambient light from a roof lamp.
ciao! marco

I think Andrew hit it on the nose about her look. She's very pretty, no beautiful actually. Those eyes were captured perfectly Marco - very nicely done. What "improvised" lighting did you use? Looks like some candle but it's so even.

Great work! Really well done. Yes, the lighting is quite interesting. I like the resulting shadows.
Thanks for your comment on my "Red". I'm very glad you like it.

I agree with lisa... She looks alot like Julia Roberts... but with a bit of an Amelei Vibe. The lighting on this picture is perfect. I love the shadow cast by her nose, and the catchlight in her eyes. Having the subject look directly in the camera makes the portrait feel direct and intimate. Makes me wonder, what is she feeling... She looks a little sad, maybe, but she's showing only a hit of emotion, so I really can only wonder. (which is why I (the audience) HAS to wonder. Overall, a beautiful portrait of a very beautiful woman. ~Andrew Gawronski

Hi Lisa, thanks for your nice comment! I like the picture and it was taken with a borrowed camera (from a friend) and with a very old film...
I took a little look at your work and I find it very interesting.
Hear from you soon!
