Tungsten light, night, low speed film (125 ASA), low speed (around 1/30), high speed lens wide open (1:1.2). D.O.F. would be almost inexistent weren't this lens' amazing precision. Maybe the best lens I've ever had. Until now. Since my new old Nikon F2A is on maintenance, I haven't been able to use my new old lenses. But this Canon 55mm 1:1.2 certainly will be HARD to beat. Printed on Ilford Galerie by nobody but me. Those who guessed, guessed it right: that's Mrs. Azevedo :-)
Vc capturou uma beleza de momento nesta foto! Uma coisa simples que acontece em nossa frente diariamente, e mesmo assim, com esse efeito do B&W, da granulação e das sombras, resulta em uma bela imagem! Parabéns, Cesar
thanks for the comment. Well, she's been my main subject for years ;-) This image was taken on our honeymoon at a Club Med here in Brazil. She hasn't changed that much, which is nice.
That's ME on the "intro" picture. I don't even imagine who shot it, or how old I was. Guess around 4/5 years which brings us back to the 60's. I find it funny, for someone who deals mainly with visuals today, how cross-eyed I was. I remember using glasses and a cover during one of my eyes for some time to correct them. Quite charming...
That slide is too bad, I had to spend quite an ammount of time to get the colors corrected. I think it was worth. It's a lovely image, guess the best I have from me.
My kids are the two angels on my portfolio page. Bruno is the blond and Fabio has the darker hair. They're adorable. Electric - 5.000 Volts - but adorable, hehehe...
I love this image exactly for the qualities you mentioned. And, also, for the memories it brings to mind.
Ms. Azevedo seem to be a beautifull lady José. I giess your intro pick is your son? Well, what can i say, I watch and I learn. Really love this one. So natrual as if she is totaly un aware of the camera. Relaxed in the presens of the photographer. (as she should be, him being her husband ;))
