That's a long way from home, Roger! Yes lots of vertical lines in this one but they aren't distracting at all. You've made this shot very interesting photographing these three men on a routine day. Good composition, fantastic tones

It's an interesting place - kind of dissapointing but at the same time something of a place still undiscovered by artist / photographers. I got a couple of good shots there in 1999 on a three hour visit don't have them with me unfortunately.

Hi Rog, Perfectly exposed shot, and the tonal range and contrast are excellent.
I think the interaction between those "surfers" is a great touch. Elaborating a bit more, the age of those men, not quite what one would expect, increases the tension in this shot.
I only think this shot would need a tad more room on the bottom, as the left foot of the man standing is just barely included in the composition. IMHO, this could also be corrected (or less emphasised) if you'd crop off a bit on the right side of the image, as the flowerpot on the left is also tightly cropped.
The "Lots of verticals" are a perfect "lining" for the scene, and work perfectly, but I have a feeling it distracted you from the primary subject a bit.
A very intriguing shot, and thanks for your comments, I appreciate them alot!
